Manchester United assistant manager and club icon Ryan Giggs, will open his new “Hotel Football” with accompanying rooftop five-a-side pitch to the public in March
Ryan Giggs gave the Manchester Evening News a preview around his football-inspired hotel, situated just yards from Old Trafford.
The idea was conceived by his fellow Class of ’92 teammates Paul Scholes, Gary Neville and Nicky Butt.
“Hotel Football” contains within it 113 bedrooms, a swanky rooftop five-a-side pitch and a second “Cafe Football”, having already opened the restaurant in London last year.
Despite its location, Giggs believes the hotel is for fans of football, not just Manchester United.
“Obviously here its right in the shadow of Old Trafford, but Hotel Football is something we hope to take around the UK and eventually around the world, so it’s more a celebration of football in general,” he said.
