Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has travelled to his home state, Katsina, for the weekend.
President who left Abuja at about two o’clock Friday after the Jumaat prayers was seen off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by the Minister of FCT Muhammad Musa Bello and other senior Government officials.
On arrival, the President was received by governor Aminu Masari, Speaker state House Assembly Aliyu Muduru, Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumin Kabir Usman, amongst top government officials.
From the Airport, President Buhari proceeded to his home town Daura where hundreds of people turned up to receive him.
the President is expected to host family and friends to breaking of fast just as the Emir of Daura Umar Faruk is to host the president at the palace for breaking of fast.
The president is expected to leave the state by Monday next week.
