The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has arrived in Benue State as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to a terse statement by Force PRO, Jimoh Moshood, the police boss arrived the state on Wednesday.
“He was received by the AIG in charge of Zone 4 (Benue, Nasarawa, Plateau) at the Zone 4 Headquarters in Makurdi,” the statement read.
President Buhari had earlier in the week ordered the IG to relocate to the state to stem the tide of herdsmen killings.
