The founder of DAAR Communications, owner of African Independent Television, AIT, Raymond Dokpesi has joined a host of other persons to float a new political party, the Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance, APDA, today Monday 5th June, 2017.
The member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, joined other notable politicians in the country including the former chairman of the Labour Party, Dan Nwanyanwu to grace the occasion which held at the Reiz Continental Hotels in Abuja.
The new party came up with the slogan, “Stronger Together” and floated one Shitu Kabiru as its interim national chairman.
The new party is however yet to constitute its National executive committee.
Recall that there had been speculations prior to the unveiling of the new party that some ‘disgruntled’ members of the PDP were planning to establish a new party after the party slid into a power tussle and divided into faction based on leadership differences between Ahmed Makarfi and Ali Modu-Sheriff.
