Men of the Nigerian Army attached to the 174 Battalion took to the roads of Lagos to provide community service by helping clear the gutters and the roads as the rain has caused heavy flooding in most parts of the state.
The soldiers were spotted at Odogunyan bus stop, Ikorodu, Lagos clearing the debris which would otherwise have encouraged flooding.
They were spotted alongside their commanding Officer, 174 Battalion Ikorodu, Lt Col. Benedict Ezeh who was on a supervisory mission.
The supervising commander noted that the bad portion of the road causes holdup and constant accidents.
He further added that the community service was successful because the Oba of Ikorodu assisted financially.
