PHOTOS: Nigerian Rapper Olamide Finally Lays Mom to Rest

2 Min Read

Nigerian rapper and Superstar, Olamide, finally laid is mum to rest at the Ikoyi cemetery away from the cameras as the family wanted a private ceremony with just friends and family.

Olamide’s mother died on the 30th of January 2018, which also happened to be his son Maximilliano’s birthday, meaning the rapper had gone on social media to first celebrate his son with a caption that read; “Happy birthday, Batifèori Maximiliano Adedeji, more life young King, from Dad, your best pal.”

And then a few hours later, the rapper was mourning his mother for whom he posted this; ‘Orisa bi iya o si’, which in English can be translated as “There’s no goddess like a mother.”

It was reported sometime in March that Olamide and his longtime girlfriend and babymama, Bukunmi, were engaged.

This was after a photo appeared online in which he wished his girlfriend a happy birthday; ‘Happy birthday Mamito you are more than amazing…to greatness,”  he wrote

What caught people’s attention was another post by someone who put up a picture of Bukunmi and said  “My senior wife…we have a wedding to plan,” and another caption “Olamide proposed to ADE……yaaaaay.”

Olamide hasn’t really responded to this, but neither has he denied.

May his mother’s soul rest in peace.
