It’s no secret that tomatoes have become a luxury item in Nigeria now. The price of tomatoes has soared astronomically over the last couple of months more than doubling in the process.
While Nigeria is supposed to be a large producer of tomatoes, but loses over 60% of that due to lack of proper storage and so on.
Meanwhile over in Spain, they held their annual Tomato throwing festival called La Tomatina not too long ago.
La Tomatina is a festival that is held in the Valencian town of Buñol, a town located in the East of Spain 30 km / 19 miles from the Mediterranean, in which participants throw tomatoes and get involved in this tomato fight purely for entertainment purposes.
