Following the Sunday meeting between the All Progressive Congress, APC governors and the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House in London, a total of seven governors have been delegated to meet with the Nigerian president.
The governors meeting with the Nigerian president for lunch in London were drafted from the six geo-political zones in the country.
The governors who departed the country to meet with the Nigerian president in UK include governors of Benue, Akwa Ibom, Zamfara, Ebonyi, Borno and Oyo states.
Following the departure, the Presidency has through Femi Adesina, the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity stated that it has no hand in the choice of the governors picked to meet with the president.
The presidency further added that “the selection was by the governors forum and you will see that the delegation is headed by governor Yari who is chairman of that forum. So that question should go to the forum.”
The visiting governors are expected to have lunch with president Buhari today.
