The opposition party has come out to allege that the petroleum minister Dr. Ibe Kachikwu bribed the notorious Niger Delta Avengers with N10m.
This allegation was made through PDP’s verified twitter handle in which they said the minister released the money after a meeting at the Transcorp Hilton hotel, Abuja.
According to the PDP’s twitter, the minister paid the alleged bribe in a bid to stop the militants from carrying out more acts of destruction in the region.
There has been no confirmation from Kachikwu;s camp as to the veracity of the story or if it’s just a smear campaign.
