Immediate-past President Goodluck Jonathan has been given yet another award in the United States for “exemplary leadership”, barely two weeks after he was awarded the African SunTimes’ International Person of the Year 2015 award for conceding defeat at the 2015 presidential election that prevented bloodshed in Nigeria.
The latest award was given to Dr. Jonathan by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), an African-American civil rights organisation that was founded by revered American human rights activists, Dr Martin Luther King Jr.
This was announced in a tweet by the former Special Assistant on New Media to Jonathan, Reno Omokri on Thursday evening.
