An Islamic State (ISIS) trainer has been captured with a video tutorial chronicling the terror group’s latest advancement in research: the driver-less car bomb.
The ISIS trainer was believed to be heading to Europe when he was captured in Northern Turkey by the remnants of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
According to Sky News, the video showed that the terror group had perfected technology for developing driver-less cars that could be used to wreak havoc on major buildings and locations in the West.
The vehicle is remote-controlled, which means that the terror group could lade it with massive explosives and direct it to any location where it can then be blown up without any ISIS fighter needing to be physically present.
Security experts said they believe the video tutorial, which was developed in a ‘Jihadi university’ in Raqqa, Syria – the de facto headquarters of ISIS – was meant for terror cells in Europe who would learn to develop their own driver-less car bombs in their various cities in Europe through the video.
In many major buildings in the West, there are scanning machines set up to protect them. These machines seek for the heat signatures of humans behind the wheels before allowing access.
The jihadists also claimed to have beaten this. How? The video showed that they built mannequins to look like humans which will seat behind the wheels. These mannequins have thermostats inside them that will produce the heat signatures of humans in a bid to fool the scanning machines.
