IPOB protesters have taken to the streets of a Japanese city to stage a protest against President Muhammadu Buhari who left Nigeria for the Asian country yesterday, August 25.
Some days back, the presidency had announced Buhari’s planned visit to Japan in the bid to attend the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development.
But after receiving the information, IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu went ahead to release a statement, iterating that members of the proscribed group would be waiting for the president with the intention of harassing and getting him arrested in the country.
Just last week, Nigeria’s former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu was physically assaulted by IPOB members in Germany, after he showed up as a guest during a new yam festival.
