The executive governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom has taken the problems that have beset the state to the spiritual realm.
The governor led his people in prayer at a service to mark the end of a two-week compulsory fasting and prayers, held at the IBB Square in Makurdi, the state capital.
He revealed that God had said to him that the problems besieging the state was due to the sins of the people and therefore they were to pray to God to forgive them.
Some of the problems hitting the state include non-payment of workers’ salaries for 4-5 months and no completed project in the past year. Governor
Governor Ortom isn’t giving up hope though and says he will attempt to recover the looted funds from the past administration worth N107bn.
