The staff of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, FUNAAB have been thrown into joyous mood following the ruling of the Ogun State High court sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta ordering the suspension of the institution’s Vice – Chancellor, Prof. Olusola Oyewole.
Recall that the court in its judgement had ordered that the University’s Vice Chancellor along with its Pro-Chancellor, a former Works Minister, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe be reminded in prison custody pending the perfection of the bail conditions granted them.
Staff and students of the institution in celebration of the judgement delivered by the court were seen in photos which has since gone viral frying beans cake in celebration of the ruling.
Placards were also made to celebrate the judgement passed by the court on the institution’s Vice Chancellor.
Recall that the institution’s Vice Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor were both accused of conspiracy, stealing, fraudulent conversion as well as unathorised depositing of funds belonging to the university in a fixed account.
The accused however pleaded not guilty to the charges before the court.
