A British blogger who goes by the Twitter handle @theslumflower came up against Mavin records’ boss, Don Jazzy, accusing him of body shaming her.
Don Jazzy was quick to apologise and take down the post.
Don Jazzy had put up a tongue-in-cheek post that had four women, the fourth being Rihanna. Each woman had a Battery Percentage value beside them and it stated that whatever percentage the onlooker’s phone battery was at that time would be the woman he/she is paired with. Don Jazzy then made a joke about how his percentage was always going to tally with Rihanna.
While most people saw it as the joke it was, it seems that @theslumflower saw it as an attack. Her’s was the first picture and had a value of 1%-25% attached to her. She responded to it in a tweet.
She said; I love being body shamed and slandered by Nigerian musicians. Thank you for being horrible @DONJAZZY. Hope it’s worth it!
Don Jazzy was quick to apologise saying; “Wasn’t my intention to do that. Post has been deleted immediately. Pls accept my sincere apology.”
