The Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, on Saturday, received popular musician, Inetimi Odon, better known as Timaya, at the Government House, Yenagoa.
In a Facebook post he personally shared, Diri said, “I just received our homeboy, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya, the multiple award-winning Nigerian music star at the Government House in Yenagoa.
“Timaya is a worthy son of my community, Sampou, in Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA and of Bayelsa State.
“For Timaya, it is indeed Ijaw Nation to the world.
“I have fond memories of him growing up and he has told me that he has come back to contribute to the development of our great State.”
