If the current state of security in Bayelsa State is anything to go by, then there may be cause for worry as the state prepares for Saturday’s re-run gubernatorial election in Southern Ijaw and some polling units in six other Local Government Areas of the state.
According to reports, Beinmopre Jonah, the brother of the Deputy Governor, John Jonah, is currently facing battling for his life at a hospital in the state capital, Yenagoa, after being attacked by political hoodlums in the build-up to the re-run polls in the state.
