The All Progressives Congress (APC) Germany Chapter has inaugurated its new executives, The Herald reports.
The new executive members were inaugurated over the weekend, in Frankfurt during the chapter’s 2023 Convention.
Founded in 2015, the election of the new executives of the APC Germany Chapter was supervised by the national APC secretariat’s representatives. APC is the ruling party in Africa’s most populous nation, Nigeria.
The new executive of APC Germany includes Engr. Fashakin Jide Folahan as the Chairman; Mr. Isa Nasidi as the Deputy Chairman; Dr. Engr. Ibrahim Muritala as the General Secretary; Assistant Pastor Mrs. Aminu-Sam Noimot Anike Omolabake as Women Leader; and Engr. Popoola Waheed Olaniyi as the Organising Secretary.
The convention was well-attended by party stalwarts. Other party members joined the event virtually.
Independence Day Message
Following their emergence, the newly-elected executives said it stands together, “filled with hope and determination”. Its resolve was contained in a statement sent to The Herald on Sunday, October 1.
The statement reads; “Our diversity is our strength, and on this Independence Day, we pledge to foster unity amidst our differences.
“Let’s embrace dialogue and understanding. We celebrate the rich tapestry of cultures that make us uniquely Nigerian.
The party continued; “In addressing our nation’s development, we recognise the challenges we face. Together, we will champion education, ensuring every child has access to quality learning, and nurturing the future leaders of our great nation.
“We stand committed to healthcare for all, working to improve medical infrastructure, and promoting wellness initiatives for a healthier, happier society.”
It concluded: “Economic empowerment is crucial. We pledge to support entrepreneurship, creating job opportunities for our youth, and enhancing industries that will drive our nation’s prosperity.
“Environmental stewardship is our responsibility; let’s work towards sustainable practices, protecting our natural resources for generations to come.
“Let us prioritise social harmony, standing against discrimination, and fostering inclusivity. Together, we can build a Nigeria where every citizen is valued and given equal opportunities.”
