It is obvious that most fans of the Super Eagles of Nigeria are pained by Saturday’s loss to Croatia in the second Group D game at the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
And like always, the angry fans sought who to shift blame to. Trust Nigerians to always shift the blame when things go awry.
This time they are blaming no other than the nation’s first citizen – President Muhammadu Buhari.
This is following a pre-match Twitter photo posted by the presidency in which the president could be seen holding a phone to his air.
The presidency had captioned the photo: “President @MBuhari spoke with the @NGSuperEagles this evening, ahead of their opening World Cup match against Croatia; and assured them of the full support of the nation. #SoarSuperEagles”

In an amusing manner, the pained fans decided to blame the president for calling the players ahead of the game which Nigeria went on to lose 2-0.
