This week was another week where the President would most likely want to forget in a hurry. It was a very busy week for the President just as other weeks but with different scenarios and stories.
The week started with controversy surrounding the 2016 budget which according to the National Assembly was ‘stolen’ by the Presidency. Not long after, the story changed to the Presidency making fake copies of the original document presented by the President last year December.
As the 2016 budget controversy raged on, the Chibok parents stormed the Aso rock Villa to see the father of the nation. Though the visit was not planed and wasn’t part of the president’s activities of the day, he was able to meet them not before the minister of women affairs, Hajiya Aisha Alhassan chided the Bring Back Our Girls Group and the parents for ‘disturbing’ the parents. She was saved from backlash from the BBOG by Mallam Shehu Garba, the President media aide.
The President ended the week long celebration of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day on Friday by charging the troops in the battle field to rescue the girls as soon as possible.
