The Arsenal goalkeeper now has 170 clean sheets in the Premier League, overtaking former Liverpool, Manchester City and Portsmouth stopper David James
Petr Cech has broken the record for most clean sheets kept by any goalkeeper in Premier League history.
The 33-year-old passed David James to move onto 170 with another clean sheet in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth on Monday.
He reached the milestone in 352 games, compared to 572 for James, who played for Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham, Manchester City and Portsmouth.
Arsenal moved to the top of the Premier League with the 2-0 win following goals from Gabriel and Mesut Ozil but will be overtaken if Leicester City beat Manchester City on Tuesday.
