The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi has officially unveiled Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
Obi unveiled his vice-presidential candidate at a press conference in Abuja on Friday.
The Herald can report that Baba-Ahmed is the Founder of Baze University, Abuja.
He previously represented Kaduna North senatorial district.
His announcement came barely a day after Obi’s place-holder running mate, Dr. Doyin Okupe announced the withdrawal of his nomination.
Okupe, who is the Director-General of the Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, disclosed that his replacement would soon be announced by the party.
“This afternoon I submitted my withdrawal letter from the position of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to INEC. A replacement will be announced by d national chairman of d party shortly. I feel greatly blessed to have been part of the foundation of success 4 the LP,” Okupe had tweeted.
