The 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has mourned the death of his staunch supporter, Amb. Churchill Enyia.
In a statement on Tuesday, Obi described Enyia, who founded Peter Obi National Support Group, as a visionary who played a crucial role in uniting Nigerians for LP’s campaign in this year’s general election.
Obi prayed for eternal rest for the departed, while urging God to grant the family and friends he left behind fortitude to bear the loss.
Recall that The Herald earlier reported the death of another staunch supporter of Obi, Kola Alagbada.
“On behalf of my family, the Labour Party, and the Obidient family, I most sincerely condole with the family of Amb. Churchill Enyia, the visionary founder of the Peter Obi National Support Group.
“He played a crucial role in uniting Nigerians for our campaign and contributed immeasurably to our vision of the New Nigeria.
“May God who called him home at this time grant him eternal rest and grant his family, the Obidient family and all of us the fortitude to bear his irreplaceable loss,” Obi said in a statement he personally signed.
