The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has dissociated himself from a document being passed off as his manifesto online.
He said he has not officially released his manifesto for the 2023 presidential election, adding that he would personally do so.
The LP candidate stated this in a statement shared via his verified Twitter handle on Monday.
“We have not formally released our Manifesto. I will do so personally. It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space.
“Until I release the approved and final draft, please disregard what is being circulated,” Obi wrote.
The Director General of the Obi-Datti presidential campaign, Dr Doyin Okupe, also confirmed that the document in circulation was unofficial.
He added that the official manifesto would be released later today.
He wrote, “”The Pact with Nigeria” the document that chronicles the 7 Governance Priorities of the Obi-Baba-Ahmed administration which will usher in our dream for a new Nigeria will be released later Today.
“Document currently in circulation is not official.”
