Peter Obi and Willie Obiano used and dumped Us- Ex-Coucillors

2 Min Read

Members of the Association of Former Transition Councillors Committee in Anambra State, in a communique made available, have threatened to vote out the Governor Willie Obiano over failure to pay entitlements owed since 2013.

The angry members admonished the Peter Obi to Willie Obiano administration stating that they were appointed by the government of Peter Obi and are yet to receive any entitlement since then.

Okwu Nwanne, the public Relations Officer, after an emergency meeting in Akwa, stated that Willie’s administration has failed the people of Anambra State.

The statement reads:

“We are dismayed the way the Obi and Obiano governments used us for their elections and dumped us. We make bold to say that this government has failed the entire people of Anambra State.

“We were appointed by Mr. Peter Obi in 2011 and our appointments were signed by former secretaries to the State Government, Chief Paul Odenigbo and Mr. Oseloka Henry Obaze which was eventually ratified by the Anambra State House of Assembly.

Obiano “During a meeting with one of the members of APGA BOT, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka at Rojenny Tourist Village, Oba, the Special Adviser to governor Obiano on Political Matters, Mr. Chinedu Obidigwe promised to ensure that our entitlements would be paid.

“We are saying that if other political appointees in the state like Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners, Special Advisers, among others have received their entitlements, the appointed councillors are also qualified to receive their entitlements.”
