PDP seeks Review of Atiku’s petition at Supreme court

1 Min Read

Aggrieved members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) have sought a review of the dismissed petition of their presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

It would be recalled that the apex court dismissed the petition of Atiku Abubakar in a ruling last year.

A beacon of hope has been lit in the opposition party after the unexpected outcome of a verdict that nullified David Lyon’s election victory, a day before his swearing-in ceremony as Bayelsa state Governor.

Justice Mary Odili’s verdict has restored the faith of PDP members in the judiciary as they now seek a review of Atiku’s petition.

Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP spokesman while addressing newsmen disclosed that the party is seeking a review of verdicts where their governorship candidates suffered a loss.

According to The Cable, the manner the apex court ‘conducted itself’ in recent cases has restored their faith in the third arm of government
