PDP Crisis: Wike Blasts Wabara, Says He Would Have Disowned Him as Father

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has launched a scathing attack on the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Board of Trustees, BoT, Adolphus Wabara.

Wike accused Wabara of being part of those fueling the crisis in the PDP and stated that if Wabara were his father, he would have disowned him.

The Minister made the remarks during a media chat in Abuja on Sunday, where he blamed the actions and utterances of some PDP leaders for the party’s backwardness.

Wike specifically mentioned that it was wrong for PDP leaders to desperately seek the removal of the Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and the National Secretary, Sam Anyanwu, despite court rulings.

“It doesn’t bother me at all. The matter is in the hands of the courts, and the party constitution is clear. If they resign, they must be replaced through elections. The fact that someone is trying to bypass this process doesn’t surprise me,” Wike said.

Wike also emphasized the need for the PDP to focus on resolving its internal issues, particularly with the upcoming convention.
