There was a scare on Wednesday morning at a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, as a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Fatai Oyedele, aka Diekola, collapsed.
The suspect was produced in court by the police alongside two other suspects, Segun Adekilekun and Sikiru Lawal.
The trio had been arrested days to the Osun State gubernatorial rerun election on September 27.
Confusion however ensured on Wednesday morning when the suspects were called to the dock.
As Diekola, who had a plaster on his arm and looked quite sickly, stepped into the dock, he collapsed and was helped by the other suspects.
Although he was later given a chair to sit on, Magistrate Olusegun Ayilara declined to continue proceedings, saying that he could not take the plea of a dying man.
He therefore adjourned the case until November 23.
