‘PDP is the best thing that ever happened to Nigeria’ – Babangida Aliyu

2 Min Read

Former Governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu on Wednesday has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is the best thing that ever happened to Nigeria.

The Former Governor made the declaration while speaking at the inauguration of the PDP convention committees yesterday.

Aliyu added that the current ruling and opposition party, All Progressive Congress, APC is not yet ripe to lead a central government further stating that the party had now revealed that they are incapable of governing at the Federal level.

He said: ”A party that has not fully matured, but we handed over to it and we must not repeat that mistake again.

”We must go out to the people, the ones that we can apologise to, we do. The ones that we can compensate, we do. But most importantly, we gear our minds towards success, in 2019, at all levels of government,”

Aliyu further in his speech advised Nigerians to compare and contrast both parties and draw their conclusions based on which party had their better interest in mind.

While urging the party members not to be afraid as they must continue to pray and do what is right in order to return to the Federal level of government, Aliyu said: ”People are yearning for PDP, people want PDP, people talk about PDP, people who thought that we were not right now are saying, PDP is the best thing that ever happened,”
