The immediate-past Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Pauline Tallen, was on Friday interrogated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over allegations of money laundering to the tune of N2 billion.
It was learnt that Tallen arrived at the commission’s Abuja Zonal Command in Wuse area on invitation at 12pm and was grilled by EFCC investigators beyond 8 pm.
A source said the ex-minister is being investigated for alleged misappropriation of funds and corrupt enrichment to the tune of N2bn, and part of the money was allegedly diverted from the African First Lady Peace Mission Project.
The EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren could not be reached for comments.
However, Tallen’s grilling came barely a day after the Ilorin Zonal Command of EFCC interrogated a former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
