Paul Okoye, one half of the legendary Nigerian music duo P-Square, has confirmed that the group has split up again. In a recent interview with City FM, Paul revealed that his twin brother Peter Okoye had sent him a message stating that he was no longer interested in the group.
Paul expressed his reluctance to go into details of their dispute but shared that the group had creative differences over how they wanted to make their music. He also accused Peter of petitioning him and their older brother Jude Okoye to the EFCC, who invited him for questioning. However, Paul stated that the EFCC investigated and cleared him of any financial misappropriation.
This latest split marks another low point in the relationship of the iconic duo, who had previously split in 2017 before reuniting in 2021. P-Square had released two tracks, “Jaiye” and “Find Somebody,” ahead of a highly anticipated new album before the latest split.
Paul has announced that he will be reactivating his solo career as Rudeboy, boasting that he wrote 99% of their songs as P-Square.
