The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has placed a curse on insurgents holding kidnapped Dapchi girl, Leah Sharibu.
Leah Sharibu and 111 of her schoolmates were kidnapped from the Government Girls Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State on February 19, 2018.
While the others were later brought home, Sharibu was held back for reportedly refusing to denounce Christianity and has remained in captivity ever since.
She marked her 16th birthday in captivity in May.
Some protesters recently accused Adeboye of not public speaking out to demand Sharibu’s release.
But at an RCCG Festival of Life UK programme on Friday, Adeboye prayed for Sharibu’s captors to suffer “unbearable nightmares” until they return her.
“Lord Jesus, please inflict unbearable nightmares on those holding Leah Sharibu hostage until they release her in the name of Jesus,” Adeboye was quoted as saying while leading thousands of worshippers in a prayer session.
