Passengers travelling from Benin to Lagos narrowly escaped being killed during the journey when their driver decided to take a nap at the steering.

Recalling the incident one of the passengers of the sleep driven vehicle identified as Chenemi told newsmen that after a while into the journey they noticed that the driver of the vehicle had slept off as the vehicle lost control.

Her words;

“The driver slept off while on steering and lost control of the vehicle. Before we knew it, we were already heading towards the bush. I sustained injury on my forehead. It was the airbag that saved me because I was sitting close to the driver.”

It was further discovered that eight passengers were seriously injured including an infant who lost a finger to the accident.

The passengers laid the blame of the accident solely on the driver whom they accused of unprofessional conduct.

They also called on relevant authorities to look into the affairs of God is Good Motors and call the company to order following the negative events trailing the transportation company and its vehicles for a while now.

Also several weeks ago about seven passengers, mostly women traveling with a vehicle from same transport company were kidnapped in Ore on their way to Enugu from Lagos.
