The National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Ben Obi has thrown a jibe at the party members, questioning the party’s right to lead the country when its workers remain unpaid in more than three years.
Obi made this known in a goodwill message delivered at the party’s ongoing National Convention at the Eagle’s Square, Abuja.
He said, “We have not paid our staff at the PDP secretariat for over three years.
“If we cannot do that, how can we claim to be able to lead Nigeria?”
The National Convention which is being aired live on television is expected to produce a new set of national executives for the party.

Obi said the convention was coming at the right time that the party needs a smoother and more stable administration at the national level.
