Bredan Isikak, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BC  told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday that the option was due to COVID-19 social distancing order that was still in operation.
Isikak said that the pageant tagged, ‘The Rebirth Edition’ that would be held online, and contestants were expected to put up a minute video of themselves.
He said that the personal videos would be made available through the events official website, www.mrandmissnigintl.org/registration.htlm .
“The audition is very important, being part of build-up for the events, but we must equally observe the social distancing which is still in operation in Lagos and other parts of the country.
“Registered and forthcoming contestants are to do a one minute video clip of self and send to the site, convincing judges on why they feel fit for the event,” he said.
Meanwhile, he said that registration date for the 2000 dollars prize event had been extended from May to June 25, to enable other contestants confirm their participation.
Isikak attributed the extension of registration period of the events, billed for October in Muson Centre, Lagos, to the global COVID-19 Pandemic,  which had delayed registration of some interested contestants.
“Opportunity is still open for interested contestants for the MMNI, meant for Nigerian young boys and girls alone, and MMIA, to register for  participations in our exclusive ‘The Rebirth Edition’.
“We had to move the date from May to June 25 because of the uncertainty and challenges that the Coronavirus pandemic has caused to individuals, corporate bodies and nation’s programmes.
According to him, successful contestants from MMNI girl’s category of the event will have the opportunity to represent Nigeria in the MMIA, Miss International World Super Model.
Nsikak added that Mr Landscape, Altitude Men Finals, Kenya Fashion Week and Cape Coast Fashion Week would be an open slot participation for winners of Mr Nigeria International.
