Arsenal’s German midfielder, Mesut Ozil was left out of Arsenal’s squad and missed out of the 5-0 win over Burnley on Sunday because of his back injury, making the out-gone manager Arsene Wenger disclose that he would miss the last games of the Premier League campaign.
The situation had made Ozil’s countrymen speculate that he would not be available for the World Cup in Russia which kicks off next month.
However, Ozil took to Twitter to correct all wrong assumptions and to affirm that he would be very much available to represent his country at the upcoming World Cup games.
But he confirmed that he would miss the remainder of the Premier League season.
While he took to Twitter to dispel rumours about missing the World Cup, he also joined in the trending tributes to Wenger on his last game at the club after 22 years in charge.
