The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has assured Nigerians that the party is committed to delivering on the promises it made during the campaign in the new year.
Oyegun, in his New Year message, acknowledged that even though the outgoing year may have been difficult, Nigerians had every cause to rejoice because of the opportunity they have to install a credible government from the federal to the state level, making way for the long desired change.
“While 2015 was difficult for many Nigerians, we must also look back, with relief and a collective sense of jubilation, to the momentous opportunity it offered to the electorate to make the long-desired change of political leadership at the federal level and in many states. And we must sustain the hope that brighter days are ahead of us. Although our challenges are legion, we have the courage and determination to rise up and meet them.
“I want to give a firm assurance that all the promises made by the party in respect of the 2015 election to Nigerians will be kept. The New Year holds great dividends for Nigerians when the policies of the President Muhhamadu Buhari-led administration are enforced full blast in the 2016 financial year,” Oyegun stated
He said that the nation, in the last seven months of the APC-led administration under President Muhammadu Buhari, has witnessed clear indication that the administration is bent on delivering on its change agenda.
