Nigerian Afrobeat singer Oxlade has revealed that he receives more appreciation in Ghana than in his home country.
In a recent interview, Oxlade expressed gratitude for the warm reception he’s received in Ghana, particularly citing his collaboration with Ghanaian hip-hop legend Sarkodie on his debut album “Oxlade from Africa.”
“Ghana has shown me more love than Nigeria,” he said.
Oxlade also clarified his earlier social media posts, stating they were directed at industry figures trying to exert control over artists.
“I hate the mindset of people trying to play god and determine your trajectory,” he explained.
