The National Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen. Iyiola Omisore, has appealed to electorate in Osun to re-elect Gov. Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 governorship election in the state.
Omisore made the plea at a reception organised in his honour by the state government and the state chapter of APC on Thursday in Osogbo.
He appealed to people of the state to come out en mass and vote for APC during the election.
Omisore said that his election as the party National Secretary was a challenge for the people of the state to vote for the party to power at all levels.
While appreciating the roles of Bola Tinubu, Chief Bisi Akande, Gov. Oyetola, among others, Omisore said the party would ensure dividends of democracy for the people of the state.
In his remarks, Oyetola expressed his appreciation to the South-West leadership of the party for supporting the candidature of Omisore as the National Secretary of the party.
The governor described “Omisore as a round peg in a round hole of the party”, adding that solidarity exhibited by leaders of the party in the zone was largely responsible for the emergence of Omisore.
Also, the Chairman of IleriOluwa Campaign Organisation, Mr Israel Famurewa, expressed gratitude to members of the party, particularly the delegates, for their loyalty and commitment to the success of their candidate.
