French Club, Lille have reportedly received a £75 million bid from an unnamed club for Nigerian Centre forward, Victor Osimhen.
The 21-year-old wonder boy has attracted interest from a number of top clubs from Leagues in Europe, including Liverpool, after having an impressive performance of scoring 18 goals in 38 matches in all competitions this season.
He displayed his darting speed and quality finishing skill in the group stages at the Champions League, as well as a headed goal against top English side, Chelsea FC.
Recently, popular French news platform, Telefoot, have reported that a whooping £75 million bid has been offered for Osimhen, including add-ons.
According to recent reports, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan and Chelsea have also been linked with the Nigerian Striker and could compete with Liverpool for his signature.
According to Transfer expert, Duncan Castles, the Merseyside Reds have already made first contact with Lille over a potential deal for Osimhen.
“The information I have is that Liverpool has been in contact with Lille about their Nigeria centre-forward, Victor Osimhen,” Castles told Reach Plc’s Transfer Window podcast.
“He’s attracting attention from a lot of clubs and has been fulfilling the potential he showed when he won the Golden Boot at the World Youth Cup a few years ago, scoring 10 goals in that particular tournament in Chile.”
“They are open to selling him this summer but only if the market provides them with the right price.
“And they’re very conscious that this may well not be the transfer window to sell a player of his talent. That will factor into their thinking.
“They believe they’ve got a player who is going to turn into one of the top centre-forwards in European football.”

However, pundits have the notion that United could topple their rivals in the race for Osimhen’s signature after on-loan striker Odion Ighalo revealed he has been advising his compatriot over his future,
“I talk to Osimhen, he’s a very nice boy, young, he’s a good guy,” Ighalo told Elegbete TV. “We talk, not almost every day, but almost every time I advise him.
“He’s the future of Nigerian football. He’s the future, he’s going to do so well in football. I always advise him to keep calm, keep working hard and the guy is going to be a celebrity, you know.”
“I love him, I just want him to keep working hard the way he’s doing, he’s going to break so many records in Europe and Nigeria.”
Osimhen joined French side, Lille in July of 2019 after his loan spell expired at Belgian club, Charleroi.
