Victor Osimhen and Bruno Onyemaechi have become the first players to arrive at the Super Eagles camp in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against the Amavubi of Rwanda.

The duo arrived at the Kigali International Airport on Sunday night and were received by head coach Eric Chelle and other backroom staff.

Osimhen, who plays for Turkish club Galatasaray, scored a hat-trick in his team’s 4-0 victory over Atalyanpor on Friday night. Onyemaechi, on the other hand, featured in Olympiacos’ UEFA Europa League clash with Norwegian club Bodo & Glint last Thursday.

More players are expected to join the team’s Radisson Blu Hotel camp on Monday. The Super Eagles will face Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on Friday.

The team will also play against Zimbabwe in another 2026 World Cup qualifier. Coach Chelle had earlier released a 35-man provisional squad for the two matches.
