The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, has blasted former President Olusegun Obasanjo for supporting Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
He said Atiku and his erstwhile boss should prepare to be humiliated by President Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election scheduled for February 16, 2019.
Oshiomhole made this known on Tuesday while addressing Edo APC women leaders who paid him a solidarity visit at his private office in Abuja.
The former Edo governor said Atiku’s penchant for moving from one party to another would be his greatest undoing at the polls.
Furthermore, the APC chairman slammed Atiku and PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, for demanding the resignation of Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, and Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.
He said their overwhelming desire to manipulate the electoral system necessitated the calls, stressing that Atiku wishes to replace the IGP and Secondus desires the position of INEC chairman.
Oshiomhole also lambasted some APC state governors who have threatened to work against the party’s interest in the 2019 general election.
Describing such governors as “prodigal sons”, the APC chairman said they would be punished at the polls by Nigerians.
