Hollywood power couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, whose divorce broke the internet recently, have sold their home in New Orleans for $4.9million.
The couple who purchased the home in 2007 post-Hurricane Katrina for $3.5million, made the payment after Brad Pitt established the “Make it Right Foundation” to motivate development of new housing in New Orleans’ Lower 9th ward neighborhood.
In the documents filed with the Land Records Division of the Orleans Parish Clerk of Court’s office, it shows the property sold for that amount after it appreciated over the years.
The three-storeyed, 1830 mansion, has 7,645 square feet, five bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two and a half baths.
Angelina Jolie, had filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, her husband of 11 years, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
The actress also filed for the custody of their six children, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, and the twins Vivienne and Knox.
Jolie also asked for the judge to grant Brad visitation rights.
