Ondo Will Remain a PDP State – Kuku

2 Min Read
Dr Kinglsey Kuku

Former Special Adviser to the former President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs and former Chairman of Amnesty Programme, Hon. Kingsley Kuku has said that Peoples Democratic Party will come out victorious in the next Ondo State Gubernatorial election.

Kuku while speaking with journalists in Akure said “Ondo State is a PDP state and will remain a PDP state, even after Mimiko has left. From the beginning, any time you see PDP losing in election in this state, it will be as a result of the unresolved crisis within the party.

“Look at what happen in the last general election, we lost the Presidential election in this state because we could not resolve our internal crisis, but when we were able to settle the matter and begged one another, then see the result of the House of Assembly election. This shows if there is no crisis, no party can defeat us.”

He also added that the governorship seat should move to either the north or the south because the incumbent Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko is from the central senatorial district.

He said “I am not saying our members from the central senatorial district are not constitutionally qualified to contest the election, but i think it would be much better if the governorship seat can move to either to the North or South senatorial district. You know our governor is from the central senatorial district.”
