Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has again downplayed the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi’s chance of victory in the February 25 election.
According to Omokri, no one would give Obi and his teeming supporters popularly known as ‘Obidients’ the chance to rule the country.
He said, “I have been aligned with the PDP since 1998. I have never left. In good times and bad times, I remained in PDP for 25 years. I supported Obasanjo in 1999-2003. I supported Yar’adua in 2007. I supported Dr. Jonathan in 2011-2015. I supported Waziri Atiku in 2019. I again am supporting him in 2023.
“Between me and Obi that jumped from APGA, to PDP, to Labour, who is ‘anywhere belle face?’ Who is in this for stomach infrastructure? President Jonathan publicly testified that he has not met ANYBODY as loyal as me. Waziri Atiku publicly said the same about me. If I join a political party, I commit to it. If I can no longer commit to it, then I retire from politics and face evangelism full time.
“I can NEVER jump from party to party. Betrayal is not in my DNA. Just wait for your well-deserved disgrace in 2 weeks! Uncouth mannerless hordes that can’t manage their mouths, want to manage a country. Disagree with their choice of candidate and they insult you, your parents and your siblings. Who will give you and your Obi a country to run? Extremely selfish group of human beings, devoid of humility, completely indifferent to the offence they cause others, yet uber sensitive to their own feelings. Can spot a microscopic spec in others but fail to see the log under their noses. I don’t follow power or money. I follow my conviction.”
