Reno Omokri, former Presidential spokesman has slammed supporters of Peter Obi the presidential candidate of the Labour Party for attacking Pastor WF Kumuyi over comments he made about President Tinubu’s government.
HeraldNG reports that Omokri in a tweet on Thursday wondered why Obidients were castigating the clergyman for asking Nigerians to believe in Nigeria.
According to Omokri, pastor Kumuyi would have still urged Nigerians to believe in the success of the nation if Peter Obi or Atiku Abubakar had emerged as the country’s president.
“Pastor Kumuyi never campaigned for any Presidential candidate, unlike people like Pastor Enenche, who openly campaigned for Peter Obi. No matter who won the election, Pastor Kumuyi would have still asked Nigerians to believe in Nigeria, even if it were Peter Obi,” a tweet by Omokri read.
“Why would you Obidients castigate and malign him simply for asking g Nigerians to believe in Nigeria? He did not ask Nigerians to believe in Tinubu. He asked us to believe in our God and our country. Or do you guys have hatred for Nigeria? Do you have a hidden agenda for the division of this country?” he asked.

HeraldNG understands that citizens had continued to express their various reactions after the renowned Nigerian clergyman expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu-led government.
Many wondered why the much-respected pastor would make such comments against the increased suffering that has been recorded so far under the President Bola Tinubu-led government.
Recall that the move by President Tinubu to eliminate fuel subsidies had caused the pump price of fuel to rise from N189 to over N600 per liter.
However, the rise has continued to worsen the living conditions of Nigerians.
