Olivier Giroud has signed a new contract to keep him at Arsenal until 2018.
Arsenal are expected to announce the deal in the next few weeks after agreeing a two-year extension with the striker.
Giroud is currently injured with a broken left tibia which he suffered against Everton last month.
The player is working hard on making a return in the New year, he is already off crutches and is now wearing a protective boot.
Giroud will now be earning around £80,000-a-week and is rewarded for his commitment to the club over his first two seasons. The extension also emphasises how important an asset he is to Arsene Wenger’s long-term plans.
Arsenal have been looking to tie down their big players and Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker, Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky all signed new deals towards the end of last season.
