It is no longer news that immediate-past Super Eagles’ coach, Sunday Oliseh will be appearing before the House of Representatives Committee on Sports to explain the circumstances that led to his acrimonious resignation from his job in February.
However, Oliseh’s predecessor, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi has called on the Committee to widen its net to accommodate the other coaches who have been at the helms of the Super Eagles in recent times.
These include Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Christian Chukwu, Shuaibu Amodu, Austin Eguavoen and himself (Keshi).
Keshi, who spoke through his manager, Emmanuel Ardo, wondered why there was a special interest in Oliseh who chose to resign while others were booted out.
He called on the Committee to invite the former coaches who were booted out to give account of their stay in the Super Eagles.
Also, the former Togo and Mali tactician advocated a situation in which all stakeholders in Nigerian football – coaches, ex-internationals and sport politicians – will sit down to a serious discussion on how best to move the nation’s football forward, a discussion he said is “seriously” needed.
