Nigerian singer, Portable has rebuked those linking his rise to fame to Olamide and Poco Lee.

Olamide is a popular rapper and CEO of YBNL, a record label that is home to some of Nigeria’s biggest music stars.

Poco Lee is a dancer who has also been credited with bringing quite a few artistes to limelight.

Portable became a household name in the Nigerian music scene after featuring Olamide and Poco Lee in ‘Zazoo Zeh’, his 2021 street hop song.

Due to this, many music fans attribute his success in the industry to the duo.

But in an interview with Quinzy Jonze of Echoo Room, a YouTube channel, Portable said nobody made him famous.

He noted that his songs had already made him famous before he met Olamide.

“Nobody linked me. If your time [for fame] is due, everybody DMs you. Nobody made me famous. I trended, that I know,” Portable said.
