Tweeps and admirers of Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips have been left confused as news surfaced hours ago that he is alive.

The Herald recalls that Oladips’ management stated on Wednesday via his Instagram page that the rapper died on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

The Instagram post reads: “We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!

“For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family.

“The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).”

Oladips Sparks Controversy Over ‘Fake Death Report’

Hours after the sad announcement, Oladips’ close acquaintance, Qdot, denied the death allegations, insisting that the Oladips is still alive.

Sharing a picture of Oladips on his Instagram page, Qdot wrote, “@oladipsoflife, my gee is alive.”

Qdots’ allegation garnered reactions, with many questioning the authencity of the information, while others speculated that Oladips may have “faked” his death to promote his album, ‘Superhero Adugbo,’ which was published just hours earlier.
